Hi -

Not sure if I am posting this in the right forum or not, so here goes. So, when I try to watch self-hosted online videos, sometimes they play and sometimes they don't. Sometimes I get the spinning circle of death and sometimes the video doesn't even start. Or, it stops at a random point of the video and refuses to go any further.

I'll also get problems with certain online software like ahrefs.com - the software simply doesn't load.

This happens across Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. It's the same behavior across all three.

Oh, and this happens only on my newer (2-year old) MSI gaming laptop. This does not happen on my older (4-year-old) HP Envy laptop.

How do I start troubleshooting this error?

Appreciate your help,

Dan

Hi,    If was thinking of when see the Quote All Box when reply, please get rid of it there is no need to use it ever.  Use the Toolbar Quote for specific issues to draw attention.  Thanks.

From a DOS Command Prompt from START | type cmd.exe into the start search box | RIGHT-click on cmd.exe | select "Run as Administrator" then Copy/Paste --> :
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command then Enter     if it finds problems then reboot. (Completed Successfully : means reboot)
then
After : please Open another Admin Command Prompt and please run Copy/Paste --> SFC /SCANNOW into the Dos window or Powershell and Enter.  Reboot after.

Please Post a "link" of Speccy Report. NOTE Not a pic nor a file but a URL
Please install Speccy Free : https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/speccy/
Use Custom Install
At the Top Left Corner of Speccy --> Click File and then Click Publish Snapshot Report, a window will popup and Click YES. --> Another popup will appear and then Click "Copy To Clipboard" then Paste that "link" to your next reply in your thread.

Download Minitoolbox from the below link :
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/minitoolbox/
Run the tool and only select the following tick boxes.
-List last 10 Event viewer errors
    -List installed programs
    -List devices
-List users, partition and memory size
Now click "Go" and Copy/Paste and post the output text in your next reply.  NOTE Not a file or a link but copy paste and not in a Quote Box.

As well please do run this : https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/  is super fast, keep logs if finds anything.  Do not skip the last step as resets network to stock (proper) settings.  Requires Reboot.

EDIT : Please make sure that the info included in above reflects the proper name of your MSI Laptop from the Bottom of it.

So, I ran the DISM and it gets stuck at 62.3% and just hangs. I let it sit for like 10 minutes or so, and absolutely no progress whatsoever. I did a simple Google search and found others have this exact problem, except it can last for up to 12-13 hours. What do you want me to do here? Let it hang for a while? Or just move on to the next step? Let me know what to do.
