I did a search in this forum for my specific issue and cannot find it.  I have googled extensively, went into the ISP store to talk to a person, he was just a salesperson and not a technician.   Talked with a technician ??? online at our ISP (Rogers here in Ontario, Canada) and all he could do was send me links.   I tried everything but the PS5 won't connect online to play with others.

Specifically, the game is Turismo 7 and the online racing requires the NAT to be level 1 or 2, but ours is stuck at NAT 3 which is very restrictive.    I can only port forward through the Ignite router provided by the ISP through an app on my smartphone.   Apparently the firewall on the router is high security and I'm wondering this is the issue or is there a way to allow PS5 through the firewall.

The Port Forwarding I use is TCP/UDP combination and I also tried the TCP and UDP separate.

TCP= 1935, 3478-3480

UDP= 3074, 3478-3479

The IP is static for the PS5 but it changed on me and I'm unsure how to start over from scratch.  I did go into the advanced setting in the PS5 itself and put the static IP in there too, but that didn't work.    Back to maybe the router firewall isn't allowing this console through.

Appreciate any help from anyone on this issue, we've been wracking our brain trying to get this to work so we can race with other players online, the main reason we got the system in the first place.

Update to my dilemma.

It was recommended to buy a router so I picked up a Tp-link dual band wifi 6 router.  I use one of the ethernet ports from modem (rogers ignite) to the router.   So now we're online with it and the ps5 is on the router, only device on it.   I have input all the port forwarding numbers, dmz enabled and upnp enabled and static IP.  Still getting a fail on the NAT on the ps5.  Have rebooted several times, cold boot, unplugged the ps5, signed out and signed back in.  But nothing yet.

Please if anyone can share their experiences, everything I see is it is a hit and miss as to the NAT working for people.  I'm still leaning towards blaming the Rogers' setup/modem/restrictive firewall access.

ok update to update.   I enabled bridge on the modem and let the router be the wifi.   It worked, we now have NAT 2 on the PS5, we are happy and playing online now.

Too bad no body here had anything to offer so I'll recommend that this thread be closed.
